Chief Nathan Ramos
Chief Ramos has been with the Department of Public Safety since 2006. He has worked his way up through the ranks, having previously held the positions of Sergeant and Lieutenant before being promoted to Chief. In his current role, he reports to the Executive Director of Government Relations and Public Safety and oversees all patrol functions within the department. Chief Ramos's responsibilities include scheduling, managing special events, fleet management, equipment oversight, and training.
From 2012 to 2020, Chief Ramos served as an elected Pennsylvania State Constable in Northampton County. He has also worked in Public Safety at other higher education institutions and medical facilities in the Lehigh Valley. Chief Ramos is certified as an Emergency Medical Responder through the Pennsylvania Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. Additionally, he holds certifications from the D. Stafford & Associates Clery Act Compliance Training Academy and the NCC Center for Business & Industry Management certificate program.
