Position Statement on Diversity
At NCC, we strive to celebrate diversity, increase equity, and facilitate inclusion. We expect and support equity and inclusion in college endeavors.
We define diversity as all the ways in which we vary from one another, and we see each individual as contributing unique and valuable perspectives to our organization.
Equity is meeting people where they are while providing resources and supports necessary to ensure each person thrives in their journey.
Inclusion means that we value our uniqueness as strengths. We foster an environment where everyone is seen, their voices are heard, and a sense of belonging is felt.
In celebration of our variability, the college community is united in the condemnation of acts of hatred and intolerance.
At NCC, our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is threaded through our strategic planning goals.
