Kurt Ruane
Kurt is a 15 year veteran of the Lehigh County Probation and Parole Department where he served as Field Training Officer of the Gang Intelligence Unit. Kurt was the lead defensive tactics instructor and was certified as a Master Instructor through Police Safety Systems and in Krav Maga. Kurt also served as the lead Taser instructor and a firearms instructor. In August of 2023 he joined the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst with a special assignment as a K9 handler with his partner, Chase.
Kurt has been a member of Lehigh County's gang task force since 2016 and is recognized as a criminal street gang expert by the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas and certified as a gang expert in 2017 through the East Coast Gang Investigators Association.
He received his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice in 2003 and his Masters Degree in 2010 from DeSales University.
