1. Distinguish between normal and abnormal developmental processes and behaviors by accurately identifying and interpreting them in case scenarios and/or real-life interactions.

5. Explain a person’s current functioning using a developmental framework, recognizing key strengths, needs, and challenges that influence behavior and adjustment.
6. Identify the common challenges and needs of families with a member who has a psychological disorder.
7. Use professional writing skills to document and explain client functioning, applying relevant counseling theories and developmental understanding.
8. Begin to develop a professional identity in counseling through the exploration of personal values, a philosophy of counseling, and self-care practices that support ethical and effective helping relationships.
9. Develop career readiness skills, recognize professional norms, and build awareness of career pathways in Counseling Psychology and related fields.
