Law Enforcement and Investigative Techniques

Description

This course provides an intensive study of the law enforcement system at the Federal, State, and local levels. Special emphasis will be on police organization and management, police functions, job stress, liability, and sociological and psychological implications. Principles and methods of investigations will also be examined including collection and preservation of evidence, impartial gathering of evidence, interrogation techniques, and the handling of informants. Restricted to Criminal Justice majors and Computer Forensics Analyst: HERO majors. Prereq. - CJST 101. Also available through Online Learning.
