Smart Start Class
The Smart Start Summer Bridge Program is a free, comprehensive two-week summer class offered from Tuesday July 8 to Friday July 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
As part of the Student Success initiative, this program supports students’ transition to college by providing essential academic, math, and study skills for success. This program is ideal for first-time, first-year students who are nervous about taking college-level math and want to review fundamental concepts. It is also suitable for individuals seeking to enhance essential study skills, including test-taking, time management, and study techniques, as well as guidance on utilizing college resources before attending NCC.
Over two weeks, participants will engage in a refresher course that covers fundamental math skills, helping them build confidence to succeed in their college math classes. Mornings will be dedicated to math skills, while afternoons will focus on practical study techniques, team-building activities, and strategies for academic success.
