Are you fascinated by the human body and passionate about helping others? In diagnostic medical sonography, cutting-edge technology meets compassionate patient care. Sonographers use non-invasive ultrasound technology to create real-time images that help physicians diagnose a wide range of conditions — from monitoring pregnancies to detecting diseases of the abdomen.

At NCC, you’ll gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment in both our campus lab and clinical sites, guided by experienced professionals. Our Abdominal/OB-GYN track includes rotations through hospitals, outpatient centers, and maternal-fetal medicine practices. The program runs for 24 months over six continuous semesters, with more than 1,500 clinical hours. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Abdomen and Obstetrics & Gynecology certification exams.

NCC's Abdomen-Extended and OB/GYN concentrations are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS).
